Junior Baywatch
Youngsters have the opportunity to learn about surf safety and develop an appreciation of the marine environment on the increasingly popular Junior Baywatch programme at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay. Children are taught how to spot and avoid dangers at the beach, such as riptides and rocks. They also learn about the different flags lifeguards use to indicate safe and dangerous bathing areas, and surfing areas. The course is led by qualified lifeguards and instructors from The Adventure Centre, which is licensed by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) and affiliated with the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS).
Junior Baywatch is one of the most popular activities at the beach for children aged between 8 and 14 years old. This two-hour session introduces youngsters to the dangers of the sea, teaches basic surf rescue techniques and highlights some of the marine life found in the rock pools around the beach. 2 hours.
Price: £20
Baywatch Babes is our fun, sea safety course for younger children aged 3 to 8 years. This two-hour session has more emphasis on fun and appreciation of the coastal environment but does feature some rescue elements. 2 hours.
Price: £17.50
